The Catholic Diocese of Wagga Wagga is committed to the protection of children and young people and continues to co-operate fully with the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

The Diocese acknowledges and accepts its responsibility for responding to the challenge of Pope Francis, 'to encourage and advance the commitment of the Church at every level … to take whatever steps are necessary to ensure the protection of minors and vulnerable adults, and to respond to their needs with fairness and mercy.' (2015)
